Stuck Hydraulc Filter, July 27, 2011
Removed stuck factory dry-applied hydraulic filter from Hustler commercial mower. Nothing else came close; the next step was driving a screwdriver through the filter. Tried rubber and web strap wrenches, chain wrenches, steel band filter wrenches, cup wrenches, big-name three-leg spider wrench, even a pipe wrench on the flange (wouldn't fit due to space constraint). Large and small sizes seem to cover all our filters. Medium might be handy if space is tight or filter is odd-size. Tried on PVC but don't care for scarring a groove into pipe body.

Works well in tightening sink trap jam nuts and smaller diameter sink basket strainers.
