420® Straight Jaw Plier

I have three pair of the 420 channellock pliers that are in really good cndition two of them are stamped channellock 420 meadville pa with two patent # one us and other canada and the year 1953. Then the other day i was at our local flea market in marietta ohio and found a set that needed cleaned up could not read the size # on them but bought them any how because they only wanted three dollars for them i brought them home and used my drill and brass wire wheel cleaned them enough to read them but not enough to take away the aged look to them they are from the 1980's because they have the rivit insted of the old nut and bolt from the 60's . They cleaned up good but have not had a chance to use them yet I bought them because my boss has his own mowing bussiness and is going to be building a shop so I have been gathering up the older tools from flea market's or from older people i know that dont use them any longer. The channellock brand is the best to buy because year from now they will keep working to where the cheaper non name brand's will break and bust your hand's. You might pay a little extra for the channellock brand but they are very well worth the money i have several pair's from the early 1960's that I use all the time I use my 440 the most for bigger stuff that i work on at home or at my neighbor's house or i even use them all summer long while camping on the weekend's i have the 420 and 440 in my tool bag that i leave in my camper to use while camping on the weekends in marietta ohio. Our campground is on the ohio river and is open from april 1 till nov 1 so i get my use out of my channellock pliers and vise grip's i know quit a lot of people we camp with everytime a tool is needed everyone alway come's and find's me to help them with whatever they are working on. I have also used the older 440 to check a drain clean out in his yard from time to time during the year they alway's work well at my neighbor's for this type of thing but they also get used for other project's as well around my house and a few of my neighbor's house as well.

These are the perfect size for the home handyman. Lots of grip. Even my wife uses these occasionally. Channellock makes a great product!
