The very best, February 17, 2012
I work in a large integrated steel mill and if any environment with test a tool's strength its there. My 430 hold up well and and need only minor tuning to keep them in tip top shape. They are the very best there is.

MY 430 Channellock pliers, February 14, 2012
The other day I was at our local flea market in Marietta Ohio I found a vintage pair of the 430 that was stamped Channellock meadville pa and has two patent numbers one us and other stamped canada 1953 . I found these while walking around they was a little rusty and dirty they had a price of two dollars on them seeing the way they was stamped I went ahead and picked them up. I would advise buying the channellock brand vs other non name brand the channellock brand will not slip off a bolt or whatever u are working on.

A standard for every toolbox, September 06, 2010
These really are the "special forces" of pliers! As the other reviewers have stated - if you can only own one pair of pliers, make it a pair of these. I find myself reaching for this tool more than any other tool in my large arsenal. The #430 are also sized right to adjust for most residential plumbing applications. Like all Channellock pliers these are well made, very durable, reasonably priced, and can be found at any good hardware store or home-center.

if you can only buy 1, June 24, 2010
If you can only buy 1 pair of channellocks, this should be it. They are the best made, handiest pair of pliers out there. Only 10" long and a 2" capacity allows them to be carried easily yet they fit all the common sized slip joint plumbing nuts in most buildings as well as many other sized fasteners, etc. This is tool should be bought right along with the hammer and the tape measure when you are starting a tool box. It's a must have.
