The size is great, about 7.5 inches, and the cutter works well. The head is similar in size to larger pliers, but its teeth are not as long. However, if you look closely at the picture (it's angled), you'll see a gap at the jaw tips. This is to allow the cutter to slice through material all the way. Most people might miss this, and it would be nice if Channellock explained this difference on its features page.
