I am a State Fuel Inspector, and use the Channel lock model 728 every day. Part of my job is sealing the calibration mechanism on every fuel meter in my inspection area consisting of 6,000 gas pumps. The seals are made up of stranded and twisted steel wire with a snap lock plastic cap on one end which bears the State Seal. Once the wire is threaded through the calibration pin and locked in place with the snap lock cap the excess wire must be cut off. The pump cabinets where the meters are located are crammed with other parts, and space is tight. The 728 cutters are long and narrow. Just what is needed to reach into this confining space. Their length and narrow shape is not duplicated in any other manufacturers line up of tools. They are perfect for the job, and the only cutters I use. They are also made in the USA.
