Last month we introduced our newest tool – the 6.5” 412 V-Jaw tongue and groove plier.
We did our research and selected a small group of well-respected, influential bloggers to put the tool to the test and share their reviews with their followers.
Let me tell you, these guys know their tools! For example, Stuart from ToolGuyd.com tried out the tool not only for its intended use on small tubing, but for many everyday jobs around the shop as well – on everything from plastic and steel tubing to 1/8" pins. Through all of the twisting, bending and holding, ToolGuyd discovered what we already knew – the V-Jaw is a great quality tool that is comfortable to use. In addition to their pointed review of the tool, ToolGuyd also provided an entire gallery of pictures of the 6.5" 412 V-Jaw in action.
The guys from Tool Snob got creative, too! Like ToolGuyd, they noticed how versatile and durable the V-Jaw is. Make sure to stop by Tool Snob's blog to read their review!
Ethan from One Project Closer agreed with us as well – the 6.5” 412 V-Jaw makes it easy to access tight spaces, which you DIYers and professionals often have to deal with when working on plumbing, electrical and HVAC projects.
The experts at the HandyGuys Podcast are currently experimenting with the tool to find even more uses for the V-Jaw. Listen to their podcast, too, to hear what they come up with!
We couldn’t be happier with the results. Thanks to all the bloggers for taking the time to truly put the pliers to the test!

Channellock is proud to announce that our new "Fiercely Made in Meadville, PA" advertising campaign won four Silver ADDY awards in the Advertising Federation of Columbus competition.
What exactly are the ADDYs? Think of them as the Academy Awards for advertising – they are the industry’s largest and most representative competition, acknowledging outstanding creativity and excellence in advertising.
The exciting part is that our award-winning "Fiercely Made in Meadville, PA" campaign features actual Channellock associates working in our Meadville plants. The concept originated when some photos were taken in the plants while filming a series of product demonstration videos. These photos captured the labor, sweat and commitment of the American worker. They revealed the associates behind the Channellock name, who deserved to tell the story of our hand-crafted pliers and our Meadville plants. Because of that, their faces became the focus of our three "Fiercely Made in Meadville, PA" print ads, which will be featured in consumer and trade publications throughout 2010.
Channellock was awarded with three Silver ADDYs for each of the ads and another for the campaign as a whole.
