Today, the Fourth of July, I was pleased to be able to purchase a pair of Channellock pliers from True Value Hardware, near my home. My pleasure came from seeing the Made in USA label on the [Channellock] packaging. The store employees were equally delighted in being able to offer an American-made product, albeit the price was considerably higher than the Chinese-made pliers. I complimented the manager on being aware of WHERE his products are made and for trying to promote "Buy American."
As you know, the Obama Administration is working hard to put Ohio businesses out of business. His success in this endeavor was felt bitterly in the auto manufacturing and retailing sectors locally. And his future success may also be felt bitterly in Ohio coal towns when the current operating permits expire. I hope the Administration's "success" epidemic has NOT spread to Pennsylvania.
As a retired military officer, I am very concerned about the health and well-being of American companies that produce within the boundaries of the USA. I thank you for your competitive efforts to provide high quality tools. I sincerely hope that you will continue to improve the quality of your products and willl be successful in growing your company, thereby helping to stem the tide of foreign-made products entering America and helping to keep America the land of the free.
Sincerely,
J.J. D.
