POCKET-SIZED AND POWERFUL: THE NEW 87 RESCUE TOOL.

Small enough to fit in your pocket. Ready to respond in any emergency.

The third edition of the CHANNELLOCK® Rescue Tool, the #87, is two inches shorter and 30 percent lighter than the #89, making it easier for firefighters, first responders and EMTs to carry when responding to emergency situations.

It’s smaller size does not mean a compromise in functionality or quality. The #87 offers five essential safety functions in one reliable and powerful tool, including:

- Hardened cutting edges designed to shear through soft metal and standard battery cables

- Narrow jaw that fits into tight spaces

- Tapered pry wedge to open doors and windows

- Spanner wrench to tighten and loosen up to 5-inch hose couplings

- Gas shut-off valve slot

And, like all our Rescue Tools, the #87 is Fiercely Made in Meadville, Pa., USA.

BECOME A PLIER UNIVERSITY GRAD WITHOUT LEAVING THE TOOL AISLE.

Don’t let our age fool you. We may be celebrating our 125th Anniversary, but we’re still keeping up with 21st Century technology. Our latest endeavor: QR (quick response) codes.

Soon, you’ll find black and white QR code boxes printed on some of our tools’ packaging. Using a smartphone, you can scan the code to access one of our new Plier University videos, which demonstrate why the CHANNELLOCK tool you’re considering is a better value and better tool than you’ll find with any competing brand.

Our QR Codes and Plier U videos first debuted at the National Hardware Show last month. Next, we’re taking them to Skills USA to introduce them to career and technical education students. Soon, you’ll be seeing them in your favorite home improvement and hardware stores, where you too can watch the videos and become a Plier U graduate while standing in the tool aisle.

If you don’t have a smartphone, don’t worry. You can also check out the Plier U videos today on our CHANNELLOCKBLUE YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channellockblue
