CHANNELLOCK® has been making high-quality pliers and assorted hand tools right here in the USA. Because as long as there is hard work to be done, CHANNELLOCK® pliers will be here to do it.

CHANNELLOCK® pliers, wrenches, snips, drivers, pry bars and levels are eligible under the Built Strong™ Limited Lifetime Warranty. You can replace them at a local retailer or ship them back to our plant in Meadville, PA. CHANNELLOCK® will inspect and examine the tool in question to confirm whether the warranty applies.

REASONS FOR WARRANTY REJECTIONS

NORMAL WEAR & TEAR

Severely rounded and/or deformed teeth and/or tips
Loose joints that wobble and cause cutting edges to pass or nose tips to misalign
Worn or abused cutting edges
Visible gaps between cutting edges when closed and held up to light

Alterations or Tampering

Re-filed or reground cutting edges
Drilled holes or welded surfaces
Bent or broken nose tips
Hammer strikes or impact marks on the head, joint, or handles

DAMAGE FROM CONTACT WITH HOT WIRES

May show copper residue or signs of scorching

GENERAL MISUSE

Evidence of the tool not being used for its intended purpose(s)
Bent level frames

LACK OF MAINTENANCE

Evidence that the tool has not been properly stored or cared for throughout ownership

BREAKAGE FROM ABUSE OR OVERLOAD

Pliers visibly deformed due to improper use
Pry marks on the head or handles
Evidence of a “cheater bar” or unauthorized leverage tool being used
