MEADVILLE, Pa. (JULY 29, 2019)– CHANNELLOCK® is proud to be the premier sponsor of the 15th annual Bass Classic Tournament benefitting United Way of Western Crawford County. The event at Conneaut Lake hosted professionals and amateurs teaming up to catch big bass to raise big cash for the nonprofit.

“The Bass Classic Tournament is about much more than fishing; it is about giving back to those who live and work in our community,” said Jon DeArment, CHANNELLOCK® president and COO. “Channellock is privileged to serve as the title sponsor of this great event here in Crawford County.”

Since its inception in 2005, the tournament has raised more than $250,000 to help United Way and its 20 partner agencies. Those include the Red Cross, Meadville Salvation Army, Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania, and the Meadville Area Recreation Complex. Every dollar donated to our local United Way stays within Crawford County and directly benefits those it serves. This year’s tournament raised more than $20,000 for United Way and helped the organization reach the quarter million-dollar milestone.

“It’s an honor to be able to pay it forward to this organization, which gives a hand up to thousands of people in need right here in our community,” DeArment added.
